Enjoy the crispy and juicy Peking Duck
Close up of Peking Duck
Peking duck may be the equivalent of the Great Wall. For the uninitiated, the chef cuts large pieces of skin off the freshly baked duck and wraps them in mini pancakes with sliced cucumber, radish and sweet bean sauce.

There are many famous Peking duck restaurants in Beijing, but our driver recommended Four Seasons Minfu as one of the better, less touristy restaurants (and he was right!) . Be prepared to spend a little more – it is, after all, a palace delicacy.
