\nYou can’t visit Taipei without seeing one of the most iconic sights. At 508 meters tall, Taipei 101 was the tallest building in the world from 2004 to 2010 (it was later replaced by the Burj Khalifa) and has incredible views, especially at night!<\/p>\n

It’s not just one of those observation decks – it’s also a high-end shopping mall, and you can see the building’s wind dampers keeping it stable during strong winds or earthquakes.<\/p>\n

\nOpening hours: 11am to 9pm (Mon-Fri), 10am to 9pm (Sat-Sun); last admission 8:30pm
\nHow to get there: Take the MRT to Taipei 101 Station. The observation deck is located on the 88th and 89th floors. The outdoor observation deck on the 91st floor is sometimes open, weather permitting.<\/p>\n

The park is known for its unique rock formations that jut out of the ground and look like they came out of a science fiction movie. If I had to imagine Pluto or Uranus, this would be it!<\/p>\n

The most iconic structure in Wild Willow Geopark is the Queen’s head, said to be named for its resemblance to the ancient Egyptian Queen Nafti. Unfortunately, the neck of the Queen’s head is already showing signs of erosion and the head may fall off in 2020 or even earlier \u2639\ufe0f. So if you’re planning to visit this place, then hurry up and do it!<\/p>\n

\nOysters with Passion Fruit and Cheese<\/p>\n

There are so many night markets in Taipei (after all, Taipei is synonymous with street food), but if you must go, it’s the Shilin Night Market with over 500 street food stalls. It’s time to put on your big boy\/girl pants because you need to make room!<\/p>\n

In addition to the passion fruit cheese oysters (pictured above), I personally love the princess cheese potatoes (mashed potatoes liberally sprinkled with nacho cheese, corn and bacon) and the coffin bread (toasted buttered toast stuffed with delicious toppings). Just go nuts and try everything!<\/p>\n
