One of the best ways to enjoy the sights of San Francisco is by paragliding. This 30-minute course will take you gliding along the coast above the massive cliffs and scenic beaches.<\/p>\n

The afternoon is best for flying due to wind conditions. From June to August, you may even see whales or dolphins as you glide across the beach!<\/p>\n

Alcatraz Night Tour<\/p>\n

The infamous 1970s maximum security prison housed some of the world’s most hardened inmates, such as Al Capone.<\/p>\n

While day trips to Alcatraz Island are available, we highly recommend night tours for a spine-chilling Alcatraz experience. In addition, special activities such as the Cellhouse tour are exclusive to the night tour and each tour lasts approximately 2-3 hours.<\/p>\n

Please book your night tour at least one month in advance as space is limited. If fully booked, Alcatraz Day Trip: Escape the Rock is also available for free as part of the GO Cities: San Francisco Explorer Pass.<\/p>\n

Every San Francisco itinerary suggests enjoying the views of the Golden Gate Bridge, for us it was Battery Spencer. this place is best visited at sunset during prime time.<\/p>\n

Fun Fact: Completed in 1937, the Golden Gate Bridge became the tallest and longest suspension bridge of its time and is recognized in the United States as a symbol of power and progress.<\/p>\n

Half the time, the Golden Gate Bridge is shrouded in San Francisco’s resident fog, Carl (yes, the fog has a name). Visit in the fall when the sun is shining, there’s less fog, and the view is even better!<\/p>\n

*Pro tip: Considering the chilly winds here all year round, please wear extra clothes!<\/p>\n

Yosemite National Park<\/p>\n

It was about a three and a half hour drive (non-stop) from San Francisco to our lodging at Indian Flat Campground. After staying there overnight, we entered Yosemite National Park through Arch Rock Entrance early the next morning.<\/p>\n

*Note: During high season (May 20-September 30), you must reserve online for entry into Yosemite National Park between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. The fee is $35 per vehicle.<\/p>\n

Watch the sunrise from the Tunnel Overlook<\/p>\n

The Tunnel View is a key location to catch the sunrise from the granite cliffs. Enjoy views of Bridal Veil Falls and Chief’s Rock from the lush greenery of Yosemite Valley.<\/p>\n
