Los Angeles has plenty to keep you entertained! In addition to Hollywood, the city has many famous beaches and exciting theme parks.<\/p>\n

Los Angeles (LA) has something to excite people. It’s glitzy and glamorous …… It’s the entertainment capital of the world, and for good reason! So despite the severe jet lag, I was exceptionally excited as I stumbled off the plane, feverishly fantasizing: Would I meet a celebrity? Would I be discovered by Hollywood? Would I be famous?<\/p>\n

The most succinct answer is no. None of these dreams came true. However, I wasn’t too disappointed. I found myself too busy enjoying the sights of Los Angeles to chase the stars. After all, Los Angeles is home to many sunny beaches, fascinating museums, and (of course!) star-studded Hollywood industry.<\/p>\n

But there’s so much to see in Los Angeles that it can be daunting when your time is limited. To help you out, our Los Angeles travel guide offers three sample itineraries based on your interests. We’ve also provided things to see and do so you’ll never be bored in Los Angeles!<\/p>\n

Hollywood Boulevard<\/p>\n

One of the most popular attractions in Los Angeles, Hollywood Boulevard is lined with a dazzling array of attractions along its short length, such as the iconic Walk of Fame, Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, and the concrete hands and footprints of celebrities.<\/p>\n

How to get there: Take the Metro Red Line to the Hollywood\/Vine station.<\/p>\n

*Pro tip: Avoid taking pictures with people in costume roaming Hollywood Boulevard. They will then “ask” for a tip, sometimes starting at $10 (about S$13.60).<\/p>\n

Venice Beach<\/p>\n

Venice Beach is the perfect place to get a golden tan and soak up the chill vibe. From the famous muscular beach where bodybuilders work out, to the quirky stores along Broadway and nearby Santa Monica Beach, there’s plenty to explore along this beautiful strip.<\/p>\n

How to get there: From downtown Los Angeles, take the 33 bus from the Spring\/7th bus stop to the Main\/Grand bus stop.<\/p>\n

Los Angeles Natural History Museum
\nDinosaur Skeletons at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles – 3 Day Los Angeles Travel Guide
\nNature lovers can have a great time at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles, which showcases skeletons of dinosaurs, mammals, and even humans and Neanderthals.<\/p>\n

\nHow to get there: Take the Metro Expo Line to Expo Park\/USC Station, then walk 160 meters.<\/p>\n

Seeing stars doesn’t just mean celebrities; actual stars matter too! Griffith Observatory is a huge observatory located in the Hollywood Hills. It offers telescopes for public use, an impressive planetarium, and panoramic views of the city and the Hollywood sign.<\/p>\n

\nOpening hours: 12pm-10pm (Tuesday-Friday), open at 10am on weekends, closed on Mondays
\nHow to get there: Take the Metro Red Line to Vermont\/Sunset Station, then take the DASH Observatory Bus.<\/p>\n

Madame Tussauds Hollywood<\/p>\n

Joking around like Charlie Chaplin is our specialty.<\/p>\n

If you’re determined to meet celebrities, Madame Tussauds is the next best (and legal) choice. You can take pictures with wax figures of many celebrities and musicians from different eras, such as Charlie Chaplin, Elvis Presley and Lady Gaga.<\/p>\n
